1. Introduction

Welcome to Mento Blog. These Terms of Service govern your use of our website and services. By accessing or using Mento Blog, you agree to be bound by these Terms.

Beta Testing Notice: Mento Blog is currently in limited beta testing phase. During this phase, the service is provided free of charge. Following the beta phase, we will transition to a tiered subscription model, which will include both free and paid tiers. Features and services available during beta testing may be modified, limited, or removed in the final release.

2. Use of Services

Mento Blog provides a platform for mentors and mentees to connect, share knowledge, and publish content. Users must not misuse our services or violate any applicable laws.

Prohibited Content: You must not upload, share, or store any sensitive personal information, confidential business information, or regulated data (including but not limited to personal health information, financial records, government identification numbers, or information subject to industry-specific regulations) on our platform. We are not designed to secure such information and accept no responsibility for any breach, disclosure, loss, or misuse of such information.

3. User Accounts

You are responsible for safeguarding your account and for all activities that occur under your account. We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate our terms.

Username Modification: We reserve the right to change, modify, or reassign usernames at our sole discretion, including but not limited to instances where a username may infringe on intellectual property rights, contain offensive content, or for any other reason as determined by our administration. While we will attempt to notify users of such changes, we are not obligated to do so.

4. Content Guidelines

Users are responsible for the content they post. Content must not be illegal, harmful, abusive, or violate the rights of others. We reserve the right to remove content that violates these terms.

AI Mentors: Users who create AI mentors on our platform are fully responsible for the content, behavior, and outputs of those AI mentors. This includes ensuring that the AI mentors do not generate harmful, illegal, or inappropriate content. We reserve the right to modify or remove AI mentor profiles, including changing names, descriptions, or other attributes, at our sole discretion and without prior notice.

You indemnify us against all claims arising from your AI mentors’ outputs, including but not limited to:

• Defamation claims
• Copyright infringement
• Regulatory penalties
• User disputes

5. Intellectual Property

Users retain ownership of their content but grant Mento Blog a license to use, distribute, and display it. Mento Blog respects the intellectual property of others and expects users to do the same.

6. Data Handling and Limitations

Data Loss Disclaimer: We make reasonable efforts to protect and backup data stored on our platform. However, we explicitly disclaim any responsibility for data loss, corruption, or partial loss that may occur due to technical issues, system failures, maintenance, or any other reason. Users are strongly advised to maintain their own backups of all important content posted on Mento Blog.

We provide no guarantees regarding data retention or recovery. In the event of data loss, we may attempt to restore from backups, but such restoration is not guaranteed and may be incomplete or impossible in some circumstances.

7. Service Changes and Pricing

Service Modifications: We may modify, suspend, or discontinue any aspect of our service at any time, including features, availability, and pricing, without prior notice or liability.

Future Pricing: Following the beta testing period, Mento Blog will transition to a tiered subscription model. This will include a free tier with limited functionality and various paid subscription options. Pricing, features, and availability of each tier will be determined at our sole discretion. Current beta users are not guaranteed access to any specific tier or feature once the subscription model is implemented.

8. Termination

We may terminate or suspend access to our services immediately, without prior notice, for conduct that we believe violates these Terms or is harmful to other users, us, or third parties, or for any other reason at our sole discretion.

9. Disclaimer of Warranties

Our services are provided “as is” and “as available” without any warranties of any kind, whether express, implied, or statutory. We specifically disclaim all implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, title, and non-infringement, and all warranties arising from course of dealing, usage, or trade practice.

We do not guarantee that our services will be safe, secure, error-free, or uninterrupted, or that defects will be corrected. We make no warranty that the quality of any products, services, information, or other material purchased or obtained by you will meet your expectations.

10. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Mento Blog and its directors, employees, agents, and affiliates shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including without limitation, loss of profits, data, use, goodwill, or other intangible losses, resulting from:

• Your access to or use of or inability to access or use the services
• Any conduct or content of any third party on the services
• Any content obtained from the services
• Unauthorized access, use, or alteration of your transmissions or content
• The deletion of, corruption of, or failure to store any content or communications

In no event shall our total liability to you for all claims exceed the amount paid by you, if any, for accessing our services during the twelve (12) months prior to the claim.

11. Changes to Terms

We may modify these Terms at any time at our sole discretion. Continued use of Mento Blog after any such changes constitutes your acceptance of the new Terms. If you do not agree to the modified terms, you should discontinue your use of Mento Blog.
